Live Student Help Hours with Teaching Assistants
Office hours are led by our highly qualified teaching assistants. It is an easy and free way to get immediate feedback on your code. Our homework is difficult - office hours can help you overcome obstacles and develop a stronger understanding of the material!
Audio Lectures
We provide pre-recorded Audio Lectures to allow for students to self-study, practice, and learn CS.
Online Textbook
We provide an online, interactive, Java & Algorithms textbook to allow for students to self-study, practice, and learn CS.
Class Recordings
We provide recordings of our classes for if a student misses or needs to re-listen to a class.
Student Progress Report
The parent account dashboard allows for parents to track their student's progress in the class.

Class Description:

This is our core introductory high school-level course in computer science, taught in Java. Students learn through hour-long lectures including notes on new concepts and demo projects. Although students still focus on making fun projects alongside graded problem sets, they may find it beneficial to attend our student help hours to cement their skills. After 6 months - 1 year of our classes students will be coding at a college level.

Prerequisites:

Age 13+ or instructor approval. 30 wpm typing speed. Familiarity with algebra.

SIR Model: Click to Play! Using arrays in parallel and giving several objects a basic set of rules, students model the way an infection can spread and then be stifled.

Starfield: Click to Play! By gaining mastery of loops and arrays students can start to simulate and interact with virtual worlds like this starfield!

Coin Collector Game: Click to Play! Before going on to make their own final projects, we'll summarize the skills we've learned by putting together a fun game like this Coin Collector.
